This girl’s senior session was SOOOO much fun. Oh, and at this moment she MIGHT just be in London/England looking at Universities. What a smart, gorgeous girl.
Taylor really wanted a few things 1. a beautiful art deco style building. 2. a London look (whaaa??) Not too easy to find in little old Minneapolis/St. Paul area!!! #3. SPARKLERS IN HER SENIOR PICTURES!
I was super excited that her mom had the idea to use the building you’ll see below. The light was super dramatic and warm and it really gave us an old world/wrought iron look.
We then headed to St. Paul for some large grand building looks with columns and globe lights (how fun!).
Finally – I suggested that we head to a little garden in the metro that has a very English Tea Garden look (and was actually designed by a European landscaper who created English tea gardens in Europe!).
At first – they weren’t so into it (I have to admit – to the casual viewer – it looks a little stagnant and ho-hum) but I literally BEGGED…. I often say “TRUST ME” when taking client so certain locations and man oh man did it pay off.
We added on a very Downton Abby style hat and some flower crowns and the end of her English Tea Time session is probably my FAVORITE part of a session all year last season! I die over every image.
PS- Taylor has a severe tree nut allergy. I know this is often a concern especially when working with someone else using their makeup. I’m always so impressed by my makeup artist Priscilla. She connected with Taylor and her mom ahead of time and planned out products that didn’t contain any tree nuts (coconut, shea butter etc). We can definitely accommodate allergies and my makeup artists are professionals with lots of knowledge of products and reactions!
That and, you know..Taylor didn’t swell up like a balloon and/or stop breathing…so, that was good…..:)
Would you believe me if I told you that was a painted wall behind her? Yeah. amazing.
Look!! Griffins! Wrought iron!! LONDON!
Taylor has the most GORGEOUS skin!
I can’t even… These so make me swoon. Favorite. Ever. The light was perfect she almost looked like a garden nymph.
I have that hat in the studio! Who wants to wear it for their senior pictures?
THIS SHOT! Was sooooo hard to get. The sparklers were failing us (burning out super quick) and we were losing light. Sometimes, you gotta get creative! Some headlights helped and Taylor DESTROYED this shot.
